About Us

Cross Borders Brewing Company is an exciting and rapidly growing microbrewery based in Eskbank, a few miles south of Edinburgh. Since launching in July 2016, we have garnered a reputation as one of Scotland’s best small breweries with a passion for producing fantastic cask, keg and canned beers.

We are looking for a driven, passionate person to provide sales activity. You will have direct responsibility for increasing sales through both new and existing customer relationships in both the on and off trade, selling our award winning beer into pubs, restaurants, off-licenses and specialist retailers including online sellers.

This is a great opportunity to work with a young rapidly expanding business in a fun and dynamic environment. You will need to show you are flexible, hard-working and have a track record in sales along with a knowledge and passion for craft beer.

The position will be primarily field based across Scotland (and rest of UK as business opportunities develop) so a full UK driving licence would be highly desirable. You will be required to be present at events around the country and possibly abroad as the business expands into new markets.

Key Responsibilities

Acquiring new customers

Developing and building relationships with new and existing accounts with account visits, presentations and tastings

Develop and maintain strong positive relations with all customers and distribution partners

Complete necessary reporting, maintain sales & personal development goals

Represent the brand at festivals and events around the country

Work occasional shifts at the Brewery Taproom, serving customers and conducting tours & tastings as required

Key Requirements

A depth of knowledge of and a passion for beer and the industry in the UK.

Previous sales experience of at least 1 year in a similar field (consideration will be given to candidates who may not have 1 years sales experience in a field basis but can demonstrate knowledge and experience of selling beer in other environments, such as bar manager or assistant bar manager etc.)

Great communication, listening and time management skills

Lots of initiative and the ability to think on your feet

Eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions


Full clean UK driving licence (lugging beer samples round on the bus, train or even the trams isn’t as much fun as it sounds) with access to own car preferred.

Reasonable table tennis skills would be an advantage (good enough to beat Jonny but not too good that you’ll beat Gary).


We are offering a competitive package of base salary, as well as bonuses based on exceeding sales targets & further cash incentives based on sales performance. Oh, and you get your own wiff waff bat too.
